WHY IT MATTERS.
This writing is anchored with a simple scribble that evolved with the development of current events relating to the USA evacuation efforts in Afghanistan and the tragic terrorist attacks that took place in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Within this writing I summarize Chapter 12 from the book entitled “EL NORTE.” To ease the process I felt that this chapter could be dived into two parts, the first pertains to the Mexican Revolution and the second with for the reimagining and revival of the Spanish Missions in California. However the parts are intrinsically linked with the involvement of the United States (U.S.).

Within this writing I summarize Chapter 10 from the book reading entitled “ELNORTE.” This chapter offers complex details of land grants and legislations that were utilized for the development of the United States territories. I was especially interested within an early literary era as I title that seeks to preserve the historical Spanish past with the new identities that evolve with the United States of America.

Within this writing I summarize Chapter 9 of my reading from the book entitled “ELNORTE.” I make historical and present day connections, especially to focus upon the Texas cotton industry, the Texas Annexation and the Mexico-America war.
