THE CROWN!

Within this writing I am reflecting upon the symbol and memory of Christ’s suffering that is derived from the Crown of Thorns. I connect these thoughts to the historic traction of the Greek Olympians wearing a crown that is made with olive branches and wonder of the inherent connections between obtaining a title, winning a championship and the suffering and hard-work that is associated with accomplishments.

Within this writing I connect Texas Independence Day to present day nation / state building and maintaining, and also our beautiful Texas and Mexico state blue bonnets.

These words are written to reflect upon Women’s History Month, notable women throughout history, as well as women and men who inspire each and everyday to influence and enable the contributions that women make, to further connect with my own personal desire to honor and feel thankful for my own life. Happy Women’s History Month!

THE COVID HIJACK?

These words were written to reflect upon the recent moment of silence for the lives lost from the Coronavirus health pandemic, and the tragic events of September 11th 2001. To connect the death toll from each events as a turning point for a nations healing.

THE RECOVERY PROCESS.

within this writing I reflect upon the new trauma’s that are being produced from the Coronavirus with the additional layers that are caused from natural disasters such as the recent winter storm in Texas and hurricanes in Louisiana and Puerto Rico, often as disaster strikes the recovery and healing takes a longer process and often regional recovery is ignored.

As Black History Month draws to a close I take the time to think and reflect upon Black History Month to connect with the film / movie entitled: Belle. With particular reference to the Zong massacre and the historic ruling of Lord Chief Justice Earl of Mansfield.
