Within this writing I offer a conversation piece for the United Nations Climate Change Summit 2021 that is taking place in Glasgow in partnership with Italy, with regards to oil producing nations, the stigmatization associated with oil-producing nations and the human-costs associated with populations that are written off.

Within this writing I share my congratulations and best wishes for Mexican Independence Day, and offer a moment to reflect upon the Mexican interconnections with Spanish history and the Americas.

IS IT REAL?

Within this writing I reflect upon the USA mission in Afghanistan to connect with worldwide regional humanitarian crisis such as in Venezuela and Syria. Since writing these words I wondered what words are left to describe the young lives who died to save others, to further question the socially constructed divides that are created by such terror attacks. I continue to remain proud of USA humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan.

REFLECTION | EMERGENT LEARNING.

Within this writing I reflect upon the process of learning as doing something, such as a process to shift a view, create an opinios and to build upon previous learning. It is through this thought that I share views upon the current evolving situation in Afghanistan, Venezuela and the book that I am reading, to discuss and reflect upon my own learning that is evolving through the learning of Spanish American History through its founding and creation story that leads to The United States of America.

CHAPTER 11 | SUMMARY!

Within this writing I provide a summary of points of interests within this chapter 11 of the book entitled “EL NORTE.” II was particularly interested in the events that led to the Cuban-Spanish war, and that even as war took place the United States was not able to acquire Cuba. The U.S. continued to gain territory with wars. President Roosevelt became philosophical about the act of war. The claiming of territory was known as American Imperialism.
