11/02/24. POLITICAL BRIEFING.

I was happy to see the continuation of political conversations. The beautiful grounds of The White House, that once again re-ignited the passion of politics. The dramatic elements of the conversations that make me wonder is my writing necessary? Or can one simply remain a silent bystander? And of-course one must consider where to put forth one’s energy, engage in political battles and so forth.

I continue to remain thankful for President Joseph R. Biden Jr’s leadership. I am inspired of your strength and determination, along with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden. I was concerned about public media response associated with mental / brain health. The TV news media response (s) reveals that, when public media cannot find fault, they will make-up stories to cast a public image of you. This is to limit public perceptions, thus; your ability to do the job or are you fit for President?

Past and present experiences of “do your job” are indicators of how well one can carry forth Presidential tasks. But we can also reflect upon the shadow of doubt. That brings forth the idea of backward thinking, and reinforces the stigmatization of mental health. To smear the many many years of education and progress within the field of mental health.

As the talks of immigration and Asylum seeking take place: I think that migrants who take a leap for this course of action, to seek safety are very brave. Especially to know the cost and risk involved. However, upon the homeland we are reminded of the need for organizations, education, social supports for successful acculturation and settlement processes. I continue to appreciate the contents and work of Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar pertaining to The Dignity Act. I also would like to suggest that the title could be re-thought. As the word “act” draws inferences to its literal meaning. Thus; the fragility and vulnerable migrants who are in genuine need of protection.

I was disheartened to learn of the recent death of the President of Chile, that serves as a reminder of the United States of America’s agreements with the Organization of the American States. There is also attention upon El Salvador’s 43rd President, Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez. While there is tensions surrounding crime, gangs and the conversations surrounding South, Central, and Northern South America. I appreciate leaders who are able to negotiate, and also to remind us that gang violences and crime as such takes place throughout the World. As the disheartening continues, I reflect upon the targeting of Hispanic / Latina/x/o populations.

It is with these thoughts I am reminded of Western Hemispheric Concerns and remain conscious of the Russia-Ukraine war, war-torn Israel, Gaza, Palestine, the blessed holy lands of Israel and Palestine, Global and International. I continue to thank the Republican and Democratic contributions.
