The truth is that the Coronavirus is taking a toll on human life, as well as the rising amount of cases worldwide. With hot spots and scatterings around the globe and within nations. Countries can benefit from learning from other nations, who have had to cope with such a large scale virus / pandemic, and also assist each other. There are moments for frustration and questions, as to why this occurred, warning signs and maybe some blame. But within the silence as I wondered about the fragile nature of this topic, or to even comment further. Feeling a sense of bitterness and anger, maybe a silence, necessary. Especially when we understand the reality of bio-technology and that it is used to develop a viral weapon. As I have stated and written earlier, but further I also wrote about the mass casualty that we are now dealing with. It is fair to say that we are on a plane to protect and do what is necessary to keep populations safe. Deal with the trauma’s associated with grief, loss and cope through transitioning to environments of where many would feel a sense of isolation and loneliness. But again we have to think of words such as: adjustment, trying something different within ones routine, and just make the best out of the situation.

It goes without saying that there is a tremendous amount of thanks given to health-care workers, and those within the industry, who are now working around the clock, putting their own lives at risk. And yes we can and should be grateful and thankful. But does this suggest that each and every patient is treated equal or fairly? Maybe we can offer a varied response, depending upon our own personal experiences, but the truth is that there will always be systemic barriers for many who need treatment and care. Examples include those that are in need of surgery, and have now been told to wait, or are on hold. But what if there is a real life / death situation? Will those patients not receive care / treatment, just because they don’t have the COVID-19 virus? Now I’m not saying that the COVID-19 virus is not important, but I am saying that patient care, those who need surgery, or other types of emergencies should still be serviced.

These thoughts are also the same for health clinics or health practitioners, and even other forms of care, such as dental care. God forbid anyone have a tooth ache. Do you know how much that hurts? If you do you will know how important it is to visit the dentist or seek alternative treatments. But then there is the argument for the risk to health care professionals, but then isn’t that what patient care, or being a service provider is about? Putting the patient first? I think that it is still quite possible to service non- COVID-19 patients and also keep services open, that are deemed essential to care. Here we can talk about adjustments, such as reducing hours, or wearing protective garments and evaluating on a case-by-case basis. But then we can think about the word systemic and systemic barriers. Truly those who serve should know and understand what ethical practice is. And the ones who do serve will also know, that their hands / palms of healing are in a sense God’s hands, the healing spirit of God at work. That is why it is so important to understand why there must be integrity, and working with an honest conscience, when serving the human population.

But then we can go a step further and think about how the COVID-19 virus Global pandemic is benefiting pharmaceutical companies, and driving the medical corporations. Which further question how the release of a bio-weapon benefits and serves the industry; who seek to name and lay claims on what works, what doesn’t work, and propel forth research and industry. This critical lens should not serve to deter the service / sacrifices of professionals and those who are helping / assisting with the suffering, but it does drive underlying questions, about the different philosophies associated with human health. Which one is being pushed and propelled to the forefront? In any case there are advantages and disadvantages to all. We are all unique in our own way, and can truly understand our own bodies. Just like the intuition and senses driven from within. But here as sad as it is, we see pharmaceuticals, as well as the research industry pushing forth research directions – and making a claim. Yet, when we view, analyze, and are given data, we should also understand that numbers are not given in raw form.

Research is standardized, numbers are manipulated so curves are smooth. Of course the numbers do purport, or give some sort of directions – such as where there is more or less cases, hot spots and so on. But it is important to know that data are not always accurate, and a good researcher will always acknowledge cases of margins for error, with the +/- % points of error / accuracy. This is part of ethics and conducting ethical research. It’s like telling a story: If you tell one person, then another, then another, eventually the story will become slightly muddled or distorted. But as all is said and done, taking a stab at this person or that, industry or country – we are left to deal and cope. The public, ordinary individuals who simply want to go about their lives. The many systems, including the social systems have all been affected.
Its easy to carry out an act or inflict these types of threats, but it takes a while, time to recover. Recovery is a process, but it doesn’t mean that it cannot happen. For strong minded individuals, it can begin with internal mental strength, but as there were many controls enforced from Government structures and leadership, this phase will also require Government / Leadership to bring back consumer / public confidence, especially because of the fear associated with control / containment, and vocabulary such as social distancing. It is inevitable that human beings are social beings, how we choose to express this socialization will vary more or less. But we also desire to see our own survival forms, this is where the expressions of creativity comes in. Survival and how we choose to survive is derived from our creativity. So even whilst individuals are asked to stay at home, people will find ways to utilize time within their homes, thus expressing the creative forms.

Within this commentary we continue to thank all for their service and sacrifices, especially to nations where death tolls are mounting high, the numbers are actually quite difficult to believe as true. However; as we continue to remain grateful and thankful, for all that we have and are, this critical lens would like to commend the various technological breakthroughs within the medical fields that have proved to save life, it goes without saying that we are grateful and thankful for any kinds of efforts that are produced to preserve and save life. We also continue to hope and pray for all who have suffered loss, suffering and healing from this virus or any form of illness.
