I wanted to take the to thank Bernie Sanders for all of his efforts for the Democratic candidacy. Whilst these thoughts are offered with a neutral tone, we can reflect upon what Bernie Sanders has to offer. What was his campaign most passionate about, and the many political experiences that he does have. For one thing it goes without saying that Bernie is truth orientated, especially with regards to the pharmaceutical industry / companies; which can connect to my previous thoughts about: why it is important to be knowledgeable about bio-weapons / terrorism, and why safe bio-defence is also necessary.
According to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), the development of bio-weapons is a breach, however; to understand what bio-terrorism is or the threats, there is the argument for the need to partake in research and development (Enemark, 2005). But this does not mean to say that an experimental pathogen for research and development could not be engineered for offensive purposes. Which further calls us to understand – microbiological agents, pathogens, engineering, constructions, offence, defence and practices that are in-line with the BWC or not. These thoughts further underline the need to dig deeper, and understand that Sander’s does have a cause to denounce the industry, especially where Mal-practices to research, development and experimentation is deliberately used to hurt human-kind.

When we hear terms such as novel, or the topic of the day – novel coronavirus it is assumed and detected by the BWC that there have been a “‘novel delivery of a threat'”(Enemark, 2005, p.34) (Please also see article 1 of the Biological Weapons Convention – U.S. Department of State). It is also important to note that threats and novel pathogens such as Coronavirus have been created through the mind of a scientist (2005, p. 37). Whilst the United States of America’s defence policy is peaceful, it goes without saying that sub-state groups within a nation, may very-well prepare a biological attack as a strategy, for political gains and to assert power.

Bernie Sanders emphasis on Universal Health-Care has, and should gain ground. Especially when this need has been exemplified through the Coronavirus outbreak. Whilst Government’s give out stimulus checks, the need for Universal Healthcare over-rides. The financial pay-outs themselves sound great, but who is receiving them and who isn’t? This is a question that requires further thought. We can further assume that compensations or Government Packages for relief, are put in place to keep the public happy, amidst experimentations that Governments are aware of. However; just as an aside: We can all do with some relief here or there, wouldn’t you agree?

Quote Reflection: The above quote is dated 1967, today as we are present in the year 2021, we can ask how this quote is still relevant to this day, and the lack of social progress that has still enabled the mis-management of infection, disease control and development.
Notes: Please note that these thoughts are my own views and opinions. Any journal quote use has been referenced with citation. Whilst I think that the Coronavirus Global and health pandemic has caused loss, grief to many, it also serves as an opportunity to learn more about the topic. I found the journal article by Christian Enemark, B.A., L.L.B., Ph.D. (2005) as a soaking of my feet, sort of dipping within the topic. It was actually a dense and difficult read, from the perspective of unknown territory – a subject matter that I am not familiar with. But reading and building upon my knowledge bases, I have understood that there is much more to learn.
I also think that The White House daily briefings are in-fact a Government who tries to calm the public down. We cannot doubt that the Coronavirus is in fact a pathogen that has been deliberately used to hurt humanity, as well as control and limit human behavior. We are even called to question if the Trump Administration is responsible? This assumption is possible as recently the administration decided to withhold funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), who also partakes in Global governance (Phelan & Gostin, p. 135, 2014). Additionally as posited by the Biological Weapons, International Agreement: there are no provisions for “verification of a members compliance” (“Biological Weapons Convention, International Agreement,” 2020). What lies at stake is the credibility of not only the USA Government, but all Government leaders who have succumbed to the virus utilized as a weapon. I am also surprised why International Laws have not been enacted to asses the criteria for the deliberate causing of a disease. Further questions are raised in terms of legality with regards to bio-terrorism and defense, threat assessments and the use of research for experimentation.
Thank You Bernie Sanders. Whilst Sanders has left the spotlight in terms of a Democratic Presidential Nominee, we can certainly learn from his campaign and wealth of experiences that he does possess. Since writing these thoughts, former President of the United States of America: Barack Obama Hussein has endorsed former Vice- President Joe Biden JR.

Notes: These thoughts were originally hand-written on April 10th 2020 and updated on April 14th 2020. Please note that these thoughts are my knowledgeble view and opinion, that is continuously learning, shifting and progressing as the Coronavirus unfolds. Whilst we are critical of the act of spreading infectious disease, we are thankful and grateful to all in the health sector who are caring for this sick. We continue to offer our sympathies to all who have suffered loss and grieving this mass casualty.
