I would like to wish everyone a very happy Columbus Day 2023! Columbus Day is a Federal Holiday in the United States of America (USA), that marks the historical landing of Italian Explorer Christopher Columbus of October 12th, 1942. The historical arrival of Columbus’ to the Americas will always seek to preserve the intricate relations between America, Spain and Italy. Especially as Columbus’ missions were funded by King of Spain Ferdinand II and Queen of Spain Isabella I. I appreciate that the USA has recognized Christopher Columbus with Columbus Day. I thank Italy for continuing to honor Christopher Columbus, and I thank Spain for Día de la Hispanidad that is the National Day of Spain celebrated upon Columbus’ landing day on October 12th.
