I wanted to take the time to share our Pie that I baked especially for Pi Day 2022, celebrated on March 14th (3/14.) Pi is the celebration of the mathematical equation that represents Pi in the numerical form of Pi = 3.14159265359 and is rounded to 3.14 represented with the Greek symbol 𝛑. Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. On Pi day individuals who choose to celebrate will also include a pie.
This is the first time that I baked a 2 crust butter curst pie with a sugar coating. The filling consists of Apples and Pears. I especially preferred to bake our Pie because of the idea related of eating and consuming from each-other through items that are cooked baked with ones hands. This thought is associated with religion(s) and cultural ties. Baking from scratch may be considered a luxury to many, as I know the fast pace of lives associated with working men / women who are just trying to balance work-life, and quite often buy baked products from the local bakery and grocery stores. Which of course is perfectly fine. I appreciate the help of our bakers, goods, services and products that are offered.
But for now – take a moment to enjoy our home-baked pie, baked with lots and lots of love. I took the time to craft our pi and as the baking did spill over to the day after, I decided to include the joy and happiness that was shared with the passing of the legislation entitled: S. 623: The SunShine Protection Act from Senator M. Rubio (R-FL.) With the creation of a sun flower design in the middle of the pie. The Sunshine Protection Act would make daylight savings time permanent, it is bipartisan measure that will now go to the U.S. House for consideration. I wish you all the best for the passing of this milestone, and look forward to the bills complete passage. Please enjoy the taste of our delicious crust and pie filling. To all the mathematical lovers and all who simply want to celebrate Pi Day, I wish that you had a very lovely and beautiful 𝛑 Pi day.
