REFLECTIONS – 08.16.24 / REFLEXIONES – 16.08.24.

I took the time to reflect upon the historic teachings of Luther – Lutheranism – Martin Luther. While there was a division / split from his teachings and the Catholic Church, we can see how his ideology becomes very much alive today, with the idea of the fellowship of Christ. Becoming a member of Christ’s Church is as becoming Christ’s body, soul. Christs’ nature divine!

Me tomé el tiempo de reflexionar sobre las enseñanzas históricas de Lutero, el luteranismo, Martín Lutero. Si bien hubo una división entre sus enseñanzas y la Iglesia Católica, podemos ver cómo su ideología se vuelve muy viva hoy en día, con la idea de la comunión con Cristo. Convertirse en miembro de la Iglesia de Cristo es como convertirse en el cuerpo y el alma de Cristo. ¡La naturaleza divina de Cristo!

During his life Luther would take to quiet prayer and engage in conversation with God. To recognize even if at the time his religious beliefs were not protected by the church, he remained faithful. This type of division / split from the prominent church is also a move to decide whose teachings also take prominence in the church.

Durante su vida, Lutero se dedicó a la oración silenciosa y a conversar con Dios. Reconoció que, aunque en ese momento sus creencias religiosas no estaban protegidas por la iglesia, permaneció fiel. Este tipo de división/escisión de la iglesia prominente también es un movimiento para decidir qué enseñanzas también tienen prominencia en la iglesia.

I was inspired with Luther’s descriptions and metaphoric uses of the Lamb, to recognize human nature, a gentle spirit as the sacrificial lamb. That can also become fierce to protect one’s faith, that becomes the sword of the Spirit.

Me inspiré en las descripciones y los usos metafóricos del Cordero que hace Lutero, para reconocer la naturaleza humana, un espíritu manso como el cordero del sacrificio, que también puede volverse feroz para proteger la propia fe, que se convierte en la espada del Espíritu.
