Please welcome the completion of the following art that seeks to continue to express and preserve the spiritual essence of the Christmas Advent Season 2023-24. The Liturgy of the Eucharist. This art is created with watercolor paints, pencil art sketch, with metallics. I was especially inspired from the words that the Priest Speaks for the Liturgy of the Eucharist as: “fruit of the vine and work of human hands.”
The verse flows into the art with the creation of fruit and vines, in-keeping with the theme of Christmas, such as Christmas Poinsettia flowers, Holly leaves and berries. The creation of this design upon a cross is also symbolic of Christ’s Crucifixion upon the Calvary of the Cross. As we are now in the midst of the Lenten Season Journey to Easter 2024. I especially completed the art for Leap Day: 29th of February 2024
Dedication: I would especially like to dedicate this art to Cardinal Timothy Dolan, all the Clergy, Priests, Choirs, the Chant Society, and all at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral as I appreciate this Liturgy from your Christmas 2023 service. I thank you and would also like to share this dedication with The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of the National Shrine, Mary’s Shrine, whereas; we celebrated and shared the Christmas Advent Season and the Christmas Candle Wreath together. Update – On March 3rd 2024, I decided to revise the title of this art from The Eucharist to Liturgy of the Eucharist. The title revision was decided upon to distinguish the Eucharist of the blessed sacrament that is received for consumption during mass-services, to the prayer that is offered by the Priests. Thank you for your kindness and patience upon this art title revision.
