I took the time to reflect upon Christmas baking, cooking, wreath-making, and everything that is created for the Christmas Seasonal Days. Especially the baking of the bread, that is intertwined with daily mass-services with the Lord’s Prayer. Whereas the nature of life is included as a spiritual form, thus; everything that comes from the body. Hence, the spirit / soul from the body in material form.
It is with the above thoughts I would like to share our Rosca De Reyes that I baked for Three Kings Day, Día De Reyes 2023-24 Christmas Season. This is a traditional Spanish bread that is baked as an oval / round shape, as the King’s Wreath or often resembles the Crown of the king. The baby Jesus as Christ the King, with the decorations that are placed upon the bread.
