As Thanksgiving and the Christmas Advent Season is upon us. I took the time to reflect upon the giving of thanks and gratefulness. Especially as I pray in thanks with the hope that God accepts our giving of thanks – thanksgiving. With much thanks for the ability of creating, having meals prepared and so on. Agriculture, farming, crops that yields our harvests: we hope that the soils of the Earth and weather are good for plentiful harvests. The nurturance and growth of seeds that are planted in good faith.
I hope that the International / Global food supply and demands are somewhat settled, especially as we connect these thoughts to the wars of the world, Inflation rates and the effects upon the consumer. While there are aim and intentions for the call to war, we can see how the battle fields, killing, suffering of the innocents can also be recognized as acts of ungratefulness, that target the perishable life, affect food supply / demand. So maybe the true thanks is the gift of life? The pursuits of life such as agriculture, that are a source of livelihoods.

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”
Proverbs: 3, 9-10.
Dedication: I would like to dedicate these words to Former First Lady Mrs. Rosalynn Carter. As I hear of your life passing I continue to hold you and your family close to my heart, as we embrace our life pursuits with faith and strength.
