I was proud to learn of Texas State Fair and the traditions of this event, that have taken place since the year of 1886. And especially the tradition of the Cotton Bowl Classic college football game, between Texas and Oklahoma. WOW! I am truly proud and grateful for The Texas Longhorns and The Oklahoma Sooners football teams / student athletes for everything that your teams, University Institutions, and all who are involved partake within, to keep this tradition alive and well. Congratulations to the OU Sooners who won the Cotton Bowl Classic 2023!
Congratulations to the Texas Longhorns who put forth an amazing effort. I am proud of the students athletes. Well done and thank you! I appreciate to learn that the Texas Longhorn programs have taken place in the following years: 1930, 1934, 1950, 1953, 1954, 1960, 1967, 1969, 1980, 1993, thank you.
I especially also would like to thank the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) for carrying America’s flag, running 1000 miles from the University of Texas at Austin Tower to the Dallas Event. Thank you for continuing this Red River Rivalry Tradition, as well as your training and development to serve for the United States Navy (USN) and United States Marine Corps (USMC). May God continue to bless your service, sacrifices and accomplishments, give you strength keep you determined and focused upon purpose, amen.
