On June 6th, 2024, I express my heartfelt thank you for the observance of D-Day that took place in 1944. Many times as rivals and friends, it is upon this day the nations of USA, United Kingdom and Canada, come together in Normandy, France to observe D-Day.
For D-Day I took the time to read the news article For Heroes of D-Day, This Reunion Might Be a ‘Last Hurrah’ from The New York Times. I am reflective of the wounds and injuries that don’t receive a diagnosis and how receiving a proper diagnosis for symptoms and injuries is absolutely vital to receive proper and right care. This too can also provide ease to a patient / patients, veterans’ family and loved ones, who become informed about how to assist and help veterans better. These thoughts can also be transferred to any individual. As well as for equitable healthcare, that is above race consciousness. To recognize that in God’s eyes we are all his children and the Hippocratic Oath attributed to the code of Ethics as First Do No Harm, Primum non nocere.
I appreciate the observance of D-Day and also remain mindful of the bruising upon Germany at present. I wonder of the German response? I am sure that German populations are just wanting to survive like everyone else. I also think it is good to keep good relations with Germany, especially for the peace and stability of Europe. That include nations such as Spain, France, the closeness of Britain.
Upon this 80th D-Day Memorial I thank the allied nations of USA, France and Britain for this commemoration. I also thank the United States of America for your love, honor and commitment to remember the approximately 9,388 American Heroes buried in France.
Thank you for your service and sacrifices. God Bless You and God Bless America, amen.
Dedication: These thoughts are dedicated to the World War II Veteran Robert Persichitti.
