I would like to share these images of our Bougainvillia Art Collage progress. I started the making this art craft on October 17th, 2023. It is a work-in-progress as I normally like to have an art project in the works especially to work on when one has some time, or is feeling inspired. The art collage is created with Bougainvillea flowers that I collected from our original plant 2 years earlier in 2021. As many readers may remember I had the house plant since 2013 and the flower plant bloomed in 2021 after 7 years. The flowers then bloomed in 2022, but the plant did not survive the winter of 2022-2023. I appreciate that I have a new Bougainvillea flower plant, and I am grateful that I kept the flowers from our previous plant, especially as there are lots of memories associated with the plant. I love that the flower petals resemble the textures of tissue paper, and look forward to continuing this art project.
I truly believe that arts and crafts are one of the quickest ways to relieve / cope with symptoms associated with mental health trauma, that can especially surface from current events.
