THE BOUGAINVILLEA JEWELs.

As the celebrations for this years Hispanic / Spanish Heritage Months are completed, I decided to share my latest art-work that I have been posting the progression of via my instagram page. It is with genuine love, heart and soul that I gathered the Bougainvillea petals that blossomed on our plant just this year, which was once in 7 years. With great excitement I enjoyed to sit under the plant with the gentle flowers, almost floating around me. I admired the beauty and vibrant color of these flowers. Of course the flowers are known to bloom every year. But it does depend upon the amount of sunlight or the climate preference of the flowers. The Bougainvillea is a native species of Latin America, in particular Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Southern parts of America. The Bougainvillea can also be found in seaside resorts in many countries. The native origin of this flower connects well to Hispanic / Spanish Heritage Month.

BOUGAINVILLEA – AS PICTURED ON OUR FLOWER PLANT.

The Bougainvillea petals are placed to form a flower embellished with pearl, pink and white crystals, with silver and golden glitter. The desire to almost create a floating gentleness of the flower, but with jewels, a sort of precious feeling, a desire to value the petal. The embellishing of the petals allow for the various types of light to reflect, almost to create a look within a look, that reflects an extension from the art creation.

I have pictured the art from various angles and different times during the day and night to try to capture the effect as mentioned. I imagine the Bougainvillea Jewel to be in a wooden frame embellished with mirror pieces as a continuation of the floating and reflections of light with the flower petals. I am truly pleased to share this work of art, it is with profound gratitude and thankfulness, that I have appreciated the inspiration of this creation. I love to see The Bougainvillea Jewel’s various reflections, that truly does make my heart smile.
