Indigenous Peoples Day is observed upon the second Monday of October annually. This year Indigenous Peoples Day is on October 9th 2023 and is celebrated in parts of the United States of America (USA). I would like to thank the Indigenous populations for their contributions to America. I appreciate you cultures, traditions and protected conservations parks as lands. Upon this day I also take a moment to remember that the Indigenous People, then known as Amerindians and were the first to receive Christopher Columbus in 1942. Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2023!
