I would like to wish everyone a very happy Mexican Independence Day 2023! Mexico’s Independence is celebrated annually upon the 16th of September. For this celebration / commemoration I would particularly like to wish everyone in Texas that celebrates given the proximity of the country of Mexico with the southern state U.S. of Texas, USA.
I would like to reiterate the words conveyed within previous writings to stipulate the shared heritages of the Spanish with Mexican’s, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month 2023.
In-addition to note the Catholic reverence of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is the Patron Saint of Mexico and is titled as: Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Spanish. Our Lady of Guadalupe’s intercession and reconciliation between the Spanish and Indigenous / Mexican was essential during the Mexican Civil War of 1926–1929. Thus; to recognize the historical struggles that took place so that celebrations could take place today. Thank you.
