REFLECTIONS: I took the time to reflect upon Spain’s 2023 World Cup Championship Win. I am truly proud, humbled and honored to be able to share this victorious moment, of history in the making. Thank you to the Spanish Women’s team 2023 for all your hard work, dedications, and journey to the final to claim the win. I appreciate that the women athletes showed up for their team and country to join the public celebration with the Spanish fans.
Congratulations and our continued thoughts of sympathy and support to Ms. Olga Carmona for your goal scoring 1-0 win for Spain, and the significant loss of your father just after Spain’s team World Cup Championship win 2023. I share your sentiment of very much mixed emotions – in times of great joy and great sorrow. We are deeply proud of your commitment to be among your fellow team members, and your country at this sensitive time. Ms. Carmona is currently with the Women’s Real Madrid team that is merged with Real Madrid CF and wears number 7.
Thank you once again to England’s Goal-Keeper Ms. Mary Earps for your brilliant goal save! As I reflected upon what it takes for all teams to make a FIFA championship victory from the World Cup Final. wow. Thank you!
It is during this time there are elements of professionalism to the sport, but we can clearly see how the intersections of human emotions simple become awake and arise. Wanting to be known to the world. We can also think about cultural customs, traditions that are evoked. Including the biblical tradition, teaching as follows: “Greet one another with a holy kiss” (2. Corinthians 13:12). We can also see how celebrations of victory differ from Sporting events such as Soccer, football or a Tennis Tournament such as Wimbledon.
I thank coach Jorge Vilda Rodríguez for recognizing your team’s win. Upon victory Mr. Rodríguez was criticized for touching one of his female staffers inappropriately. I am not sure what truth there is to the story, but I am grateful that you have led your team to such a fabulous victory. Spain’s first ever Women’s World Cup 2023. Thank you once again to Her Majesty Queen Letizia, wife of King Felipe VI, Spain, and their youngest daughter Infanta Sofía of Spain. I truly appreciate seeing your presence.
As I especially am reflective of this victory and the mixed emotions, especially with loss of Ms. Carmona’s father, the death of the little girl Maria Elena Gonzalez. I thought about the pinnacle and epitome of happiness. When humans are not permitted to fully embrace and cherish the moment. These thoughts can also be connected to the recent Jose Altuve 2000K hit. The Houston Astro’s baseball star reached a significant milestone in his baseball career with the historic 2000k baseball hit. But the happiness could not be fully embraced as he was then called out. As we realize the emotions at play that require mental toughness. These thoughts are linked to the assassination of Ecuador’s Presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio, whose death came with the Major League Baseballs recognitions of Fernando Valenzuela and Félix Hernández.
I thank major sport event championships such as FIFA (Fédération Internationale de football association), and the Major League Baseball for trying your most best to include and recognize Hispanic, Latina populations, thank you. As we can also see from patterns that emerge – that Hispanic, Latina populations are also increasingly becoming targets. As well as death as immortality?
