Upon the 2 year anniversary of the Patria y Vida (Homeland and Life) protests I would like to thank all U.S. politicians that took the time to raise their voices to support the Cuba liberation movements on the 11th of July 2023. I appreciate your efforts for the advocacy of the vulnerable and fragile human populations. As 2 years have passed I reflected upon the Cuban voices where we can see how progress of liberations are slowed down with many societal, social / political factors.
I am proud the America’s politicians are dedicated to the efforts of Partia y Vida especially to recognize the historical relations that bind America with Cuba, to include America’s assistance for Cuba’s Independence of 1902, from General Leonard Wood who was a descendant of the Mayflower Pilgrims. The historical Sugar Empires of Cuba, and the exertion of soft-power within the school systems to promote American education.
While the Independence of Cuba was from Spain, there is much more of Spain within Cuba, such as: language and historical architectures, that continue to unite Spain, America and Cuba.
I continue to remain deeply saddened upon the taking of innocent civilians as political prisoners and thank all who are committed to support such efforts to improve the conditions of humankind.
