As the Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas season approaches, I wanted to learn more about the Christmas candles. As well as being a decorative piece, the symbolic meaning of the advent candles are additionally pleasing to the heart. Especially to remind us of the gift of life, and the lead up to, and the anticipation of the birth of the Messiah – Jesus Christ.
Whilst there are disputes between the Abrahamic religions, I decided to turn the attention to that of respect. To respect that a religious belief is different, and to respect that difference. Whilst the disputes have carried on for centuries, what we can say is real is: birth, life, death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just as another aside, there is once again disputes with the latter.
As we once again turn our attention to the respect of one’s beliefs, celebrations and traditions, I especially hope for love, peace, respect, joy and happiness within our spirit, amidst the coronavirus health pandemic.
The health pandemic that seemingly wants to keep people restricted, but when the silenced mass populations gather our for protests, rallies and so on, the restrictions disappear. The inconsistencies within the COVID 19 restrictions, continue to reveal how our ordinary day-to-day desires and endeavours have been disrupted.
To once again return to the idea of respecting one anothers religious belief, traditions and celebrations, with Thanksgiving to mark the beginning of the Advent season. Please enjoy my first ever advent candles, as we welcome the season of Christmas!
