I first baked Election Day cake in the year 2016, when President Donald J. Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States of America. I was intrigued and found the baking of this cake an interesting tradition, especially as the history is tied to the cake. 4 years have passed and we are now in the election of 2020. Although this election has intersected with the health pandemic of COVID-19 as well and a delayed election result, I finally decided to bake the cake.
