I wanted to take the time to reflect upon my previous thoughts, particularly with regards to my question: Why is the difference between The Ages of Expeditions / Explorations, Slavery and Confederacy important to decipher with?
Although I may not have all the answers to this question, I do think it is relevant to understand that: explorations, the discovery of the Americas, worldwide slavery, and confederacy are histories that were built upon each other. But they are also topics that require individual understandings. For instance: The Christopher Columbus expeditions are associated with colonization, but do we hear the mass media purport that he was the reason why America was discovered, and established links between America and Europe? His boats / ships landed on The Bahamas / San Salvador, as he thought he was sailing to China via the East.
We can think of his mode of travel, which was the ship / boat. Quite often we associate this as a colonial symbol. However, it is important to remember that sailing was greatly appreciated. Especially for voyages such as explorations / expeditions, and for travelling to and from ports. This is why today we can gain this understanding through capital / major cities of nations / regions, where ports were located near the coastal regions for accessibility, travel and the import and export of goods.

This thought further allows us to think about the murder of George Floyd, which the justice system and policing systems have recognized as unjust. And to also to think about the unnecessary violences, socio-political movements that have inflicted hate and sought to divide.
