On Purple Heart Day 2023, I would like to take the time to recognize the service men and women who served and sacrificed for the nation of the United States of America. The award also recognizes the wounded. Upon this day the Purple Heart Award is presented from the President to U.S. military members. It is the oldest award created in August 7th 1782.
