REVISIONS AND REFLECTIONS | THE PACT ACT AND THE BAY OF PIGS.

I was taking the time to reflect upon the complete passage of PACT ACT, whereas there was an expansion of Veteran Benefits to include individuals who were exposed to toxins / burn pits that can apply to receive benefits.

As I was reflecting upon this legislations passage, in-general I wondered if there is room for improvement / amendments or the creation of a new bill? For example: What Veterans are included or not included in these kinds of beneficiaries? And how is it possible to care and consider for every-kind of veteran that has served for the United States of America?

The above thoughts were specifically of interest for the Cuban Exiles that were integral to assist with the U.S. Military during the Bay of Pigs invasion. Cuban Exiles who moved to the United States fought against the Fidel Castro Regime, that took place during April 17th 1961. At present many individuals who escaped Cuba call America their home, serve with great commitment and dedication to the homelands that were / are as much loved.

“ ‘Whereas Assault Brigade 2506 consisted of individuals, primarily Cuban exiles in the United States, from diverse backgrounds, including doctors, nurses, engineers, architects, priests, cooks, musicians, actors, business owners, barbers, bankers, construction workers, office clerks, students, pilots, and many other individuals representing different sectors in Cuba.’” (Rubio, 2023)

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Representative Mario Diaz-Balar (R-FL-26) are also cosponsors of S.Res. 168 and H.Res. 323. A resolution commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs operation and remembering the members of Brigada de Asalto 2506 (Assault Brigade 2506). I thank you for your attention and focus upon the commemorations, and would as much hope for the care and considerations of America’s Bay of Pigs Veterans.
