César E. Chávez Day 2023.

I would like to wish everyone that celebrates a very happy César E. Chávez Day 2023. I was proud to see the visit of Chávez’ granddaughter, Julie Chávez Rodriguez with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden at the white House earlier today. AAs they were planting the César Chávez Rose. Such a beautiful gesture as it is lovely to see living family members that are included as America’s / American history makers and pioneers. Thank you.

For César E. Chávez, faith and love were at the root of his actions to improve the lives of farmworkers.

I also appreciate and I am proud that the Houston Independent School District (HISD) has named this day as the Chavez-Huerta Day, especially as Ms. Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta (Dolores Huerta) is as integral to the pioneering efforts as the César Chávez Day.
