On November 26th 2021 Native American Heritage Day is celebrated and recognized with thin the United States of America. On this day I took the time to reflect upon the contributions of the Native Americans, traditions, cultures, knowledge, teachings and much more. I remembered that one of my first and early art creations were to research native cultures, traditions as well as in recent years to research Indigenous history from various art work collections. At present I reflected upon the Spanish landowner Bartolomé de las Casas who was against the brutal treatment of the indigenous, in his time was revolutionary, and became known as the protecter of the Indians. I also thought about Captain John Rolfe an English Settler in America who married Pocahontas daughter of an Indian Chief and the Mestizaje people. To recognize the historical foundation of inter-connected relations from Native American heritage to the Spanish and Colonial missions
