Congratulations to President Joseph R. Biden who was inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America on January 20th 2021. Congratulations to First Lady Dr. Jill Biden. And congratulations to Vice- President Kamala Harris and Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff. Congratulations to the Biden-Harris team upon this Presidential Inauguration. I really enjoyed watching the Presidential Inauguration, the words offered with the speeches, the musical voices and poetry. It was also inspiring to see the many former presidents attending this inauguration. Amidst the Coronavirus and additional security from the recent Capitol Hill riots, the 46th Presidential Inauguration was a success! I also loved the idea of the field of flags, symbolic of the many individuals who could not attend this inauguration and as a mechanism to encourage public viewership from home.
A new presidency arrives with opportunity, a renewed sense of hope and optimism. It can also be a time for fragility as change arrives with a sense of the unknown. During this time I would like to reflect upon the words offered by President Biden during his acceptance speech; to give the Presidency a chance to formulate and begin. Agreement or non-agreement should never seek to divide, but rather another an opportunity to improve and listen to what each other has to say. I wish you all the best!
