I would like to take the time to thank Senator Ted Cruz who represents the State of Texas and Representative Henry Cuellar of the 28th District of Texas for your recent efforts to draw our attention and focus to the United States Southern border with Mexico.
I am proud to support and thank you for your discussions at The World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, USA. The World Trade Bridge connects the City of Laredo, Texas, United States with Mexico. It is here you raise our concern that surrounds the treatments of Asylum seekers, migrants, whereas the Justice Department has also filed a recent lawsuit for the removal of barriers placed in the Rio Grande.
Rep. Henry Cuellar reminds us for the need of humane treatment and human dignity of migrants. That echo the Dignity Act from Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar along with Florida’s efforts / concerns of Title 42 from Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). We can also connect these efforts with the many U.S. Politicians that have filed bills for the impeachment / Investigations of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
While I have written a lot about the U.S. Mexico border previously, the current events are reminders for a focus upon issues that affect Southern America, that sometimes can become silenced with the many other politics of the day. Humane treatment, dignity and immigration reform efforts are important, to assess individuals as a case by case basis. Whereas we could also think about how to improve conditions of migrants within a home-country such as investing in Mexico to improve lives, living conditions and so forth. However; efforts as such truly don’t have any impact upon those who have real safety concerns for their life, well-being, where leaving a land that is dear and precious becomes the only option.
Thank you.
