I would like to take the time to acknowledge and thank teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week that is taking place upon the week of May 8 – May 12th 2023. The work of teachers is truly an admirable profession, and I know the mental stamina that is required from teachers to nurture and care for the students of service learning. Thank you for this scientific endeavor to harness the and cultivate human intelligence in all forms of inquiry, that also includes helping students find their interests such as: Sports and athletics. I appreciate and I am inspired with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden who is a working First Lady at a community college. Thank you for you commitments, that also reminded me of Free Community College, with the hope that this item will be brought back to the discussion table that was part of the President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.
On May 2nd, 2023 it was Teacher Appreciation Day, this is the day that recognizes teachers. I am proud to join and support teachers, and in-particular thank all who recognize the efforts of teachers. Thank you President Joseph R. Biden Jr., First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the Biden Family and administration for the 2023 National Teacher of the Year ceremony at the White House. I am sure that American Political Activist Anna Eleanor Roosevelt that first advocated for teachers in 1953 for the appreciation of teachers would be also be very proud, grateful and thankful. #ThankATeacher
