CUBA | FUERZA MATANZAS.

I would like to wish my heartfelt sympathies of love, prayer and support to the country and people of Cuba, that are being affected with the terrible disaster of the fire that is still plummeting smoke and fumes from the Matanzas Supertanker Base, Matanzas, Cuba. The fire continues to burn from the oil facility, that as of Monday morning it was reported that 1 person had passed away with 125 injuries.

Cuba’s Government has requested help from countries who possess experience of containing fires spurred from oil facilities. Venezuela and Mexico will assist Cuba. Russia, Nicaragua, Argentina and Chile have also offered assistance. The U.S. has said that they are happy to provide technical assistance, however; the U.S. Embassy of Cuba has noted that U.S. law requires for the assistance of disaster relief and response to Cuba. I think that the claim of Cuba’s U.S. Embassy is accurate given the agreements for the protection of the America’s under the Organization of the American States (OAS). However; I also think that the Cuba Oil fire is a time to decipher if the President Joseph R. Biden Jr., will put politics aside to assist Cuba, as we connect with leaders that were not invited / did not attend the 9th Summit of the Americas – IX Cumbre de las Américas.

I hope that everyone who has suffered from injuries will recover, and to the families of the deceased, our heartfelt sympathies and prayer. I wish that the fire from Matanzas Supertanker Base is contained as much as possible. This incident is a reminder of the vital and precious resources of the world, the jobs that are created from the production of oil-resources, and the needs to find ways of oil productions, that bolster safety, and are healthier for the environment.

I join you all and support you at this time | #FuerzaMatanzas. 💐

With Love & Kindness! 🇺🇸
