Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) | I would like to take the time to congratulate the United States Congress, House of Representatives for their complete passage of the Veterans Exposed to Burn Pits Legislation that was the landmark legislation introduced by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and was entitled as Presumptive Benefits for War Fighters Exposed to Burn Pits and Other Toxins Act (Rubio, 2021). The legislation was amended and is now known as The PACT ACT – Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act H.R. 3967, that was further amended to include provisions from the Senate and is referred to as S. 3373.
Legislations and Legislative Processes | As per previous writing and reflections upon the legislative process and passage of laws, I appreciated that Senate members recognize that the writing of laws are crafted from the original creations and as from the formal introduction of a bill, they could be called as a work-in-progress, until amendments and provisions are completed. I also appreciate that Senate members recognize that they are able to work collectively for the discussion of ideas as colleagues, however; I continue to support that, those who craft the legislations should also be given credit for the victory as well.
The PACT ACT that will be signed into law by President Joseph R. Biden JR., it is a huge victory for the Veterans of all ages. I think that it is only right, a moral common sense duty and obligation for nations to care for human populations that served in the military. I congratulate all that took part to advocate for Veterans and the PACT ACT. But I also feel that you should not have to go above and beyond to advocate for the rightful care of your injuries, that further exacerbate health conditions. I hope that the bills passage and implementation will be a smoother process to ensure dignified accessibility.
Congratulations to the United States Congress – U.S. House of Representatives, I am proud and thankful to all who have voted yes for the passage of this bill. I am proud that you have put the needs of the specific sections of the human populations at the forefront.
CONGRATULATIONS! THANK YOU! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
