ARGENTINA INDEPENDENCE DAY!

On the occasion of Argentina’s Independence day that is celebrated on July 9th 2022, I would like to wish Argentina a very happy Independence day. The Argentinian Independence day was formally declared in the year of 1816 from King Fernando VII of Spain and the Spanish Empire. While today the declarations of Independence are a mechanism to affirm the existence of a country / nation, it must be reckoned with that, Spain was very reluctant to give up Argentina, and countries in South America. From prior reading I concluded that if the French did not invade Spain then present day, especially associated with territorial claims and mappings could be very different (Gibson, 2009, p. 175). Countries in Spanish America became known as the Continent of Republics, Provinces of Central America and the United Provinces of Rio de la Plata, before independences of individual countries in South America was declared.

Argentina was known as United Provinces of Rio de la Plata, and celebrated 206 years of Sovereignty. Happy Independence Day to the people of Argentina!

Feliz día de la Independencia Argentina!!! 🌞
