Our thoughts of love, prayer and condolences to all the community of Manhattan, New York city, who have been affected with the Middle Collegiate Church fire on Second Avenue. The Middle Collegiate Church is a historic site that has been damaged and devastated by this fire. It is deeply saddening to hear of this news especially during the seasonal time and the diverse community that the organization serves.
I hope that the innocence of the candles that are utilized during this Christmas season, as well as many religious faiths, rituals, cultures and ceremonies will remain as innocence for vigils and commemorations, even as we hear of such devastations.
