I was taking the time to look / analyze the following image, as I observed: I took note of what feelings, thoughts came to mind. Specially to focus upon where and what I was drawn to within this image.
The tight grip of hands holding hands. The positioning of hands with skin close to each others bodies. This made me think about the depth of love. The tightness. The grip of heart within heart, that is felt through the hands. Hands holding each other. Griped with finger within finger. Palm within palm. Whilst this feeling and action is what love should strive to create; a mesmerizing link. A union of body, mind, soul – hearts united. I thought about how this image is symbolic of what is felt at the internal levels. The tightness of lovers grips, between heart and soul. That continue to hold on in such a way that allows for each-others growth. Where hearts are mingled together, but can go about the daily life independently, but dependancy that refers back to the outer presence. The grip. The interconnection between interior and exterior.
Whilst love itself is built through many characteristics, love may not be perfect, or the fluctuations that are found through love. This image caught my attention and depth of thought. Love is a process of holding on and letting go, but the letting go never means that one physically or spiritually lets go. The internal holding on, the grip will always exist – so long as the union of love exists too.
Dedication: As previously written: it is a good idea to think about love on a daily basis. However; it is also nice to set a day aside for love. This of course being derived from the historical figure – St. Valentine, with Valentines Day. This day can also be quite difficult for those with severed relations, or loved ones who have passed away, those who are alone, with the wounds and wounded hearts. Within the spiritual realms we are all loved. We all have a place to lay the wounded heart and simply rest in the loving heart of God. The grips of God’s Heart.
