I would like to share my thoughts of love and sympathy to the Morgan State University community for the gun violence that took place on October 4th 2023. I appreciate that no one was hurt from this incident. Campus Gun-Violence incidents remind of the impacts upon student learning and the entire campus populations. To reiterate and become mindful of everyone who becomes affected.
I thank Morgan State University (MSU) for your teaching and learning as part of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). It is during the time of Hispanic Heritage Month, I reflected upon if HBCUs endeavor or take any kind of efforts to engage with Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs)? Or to teach and learn upon the intersections of Hispanic / Latino/a/x, African-American, or Indigenous diaspora?
I continue to wish for student safety and the protection of learning institutions. Thank you.
