Monday September 6th 2021 is recognized as Labor Day, this is a holiday that was established in 1894 to recognize the American Labor Movement, and the rights of workers specifically from the skilled fields. This was particularly a turning point for those who suffered very bad working conditions, the over-worked, the poor, immigrants and much more. Today we may take much of working conditions and workers rights for granted, maybe this is also a time to reflect on the historical social movements that voiced much to create this awareness? At present Labor Day is also viewed as a day marked as the end of summer with family get-togethers, barbecues or just time to relax and take a break. However you choose to spend Labor Day, I wish you a very happy Labor Day 2021!
