The 3rd Monday in January is allocated as a day of remembrance and observance for Martin Luther King Jr., also known as MLK day. Dr. King was an activist and a prominent leader for the Civil Rights Movement. Although today much of what he stands for does still exist, we are also called to question how forms of justice and injustice have progressed or not, particularly with the recent world-wide Floyd protests, that were violent a form or extremism that created much more racial divides and tensions. We are reminded of this especially as Dr. King was an activist for non-violence, and the protests silenced many voices. Today I reflect upon the diverse fabric of societies and nations that desire the same inclusion; minority and majority.
My Thoughts To Share With Love & Kindness! 🙂
