Where there is war, there’s a desire for peace.
Where there is hatred, there is a desire for love.
War and hate is a call to action. A call to make love where there is war, and love where there is hate. Whilst we would like to wish one away to keep the other; the subtle truth is that both love and fear are emotions that go hand in hand with one another. But as I have written many times, it’s important to remember that love is what we are born with. The innocent birthed baby does not have any recognition of constructed emotions, but the need to be loved and cared for. How miraculous it is to know that even a new-born baby knows how to fight for his / her survival. Through a desire to be tended too, taken care of and feel loved.

As we go back to think about this example of an innocent birthed baby, in times of love, war, hatred, fear and peace, it is important to remember common grounds. The common elements of what unites us? Points of unification are important. They should be important enough to prevent the continuation of war – and should ultimately serve as grounds for building peace.

Summary Points:
- Remind yourself of unification points
- What unites in terms of the microcosm of a family?
- What unites at the macro levels? Nation to nation? Bordering Spaces? Trade Agreements and Partnerships?
- Are unifying points worth maintaining?
Point of View:
In my view I believe that as we are in the 21st century, here in the west, war can probably be defined in different terms, such as intelligence wars and psychological warfare. But other regions of the world, physical wars and the barbaric treatments of populations continue to exist. This is why unifying points are worth maintaining, because what happens in the western hemisphere, is important as to what happens in the eastern hemisphere, and vice-versa.
Any kind of war begins and ends,
with the human heart and mind.
