After watching most and following along with the democratic debates, and also yesterdays (04/03/20) Super Tuesday voting that took place, I wanted to to the time to reflect upon the Democratic candidates who have stepped up with passion and dedication, with a desire to serve as a democratic candidate and eventual nominee of the Democratic Party. Candidates have been committed. Invested time, energy, both monetary and human capital. It goes without saying that any person who desires to step up for the job – a public position of service, must of course want to, and have the desire to do so. This is why I am taking a side step from a direct public opinion, to put a human element / tone upon the candidates themselves. It takes energy and investment to step – up, the same to also step – down. And even as we hear of candidates who do decide to step down, we are then inspired, as they continue to support their party members for candidacy. So it is with these thoughts that I congratulate all who desired to serve and become elected for the Democratic nominee, and those who are left in the race. May you continue to fight, embrace, the desire for the nomination with continued passion, energy, vigorously, commitment and dedication.

With the focus on the remaining few candidates, I think I would remain neutral for now. But could say that Joe Biden’s endorsement, nomination might and could actually work. Especially because of his past experiences as Vice-President, he might even be embraced well with the public – especially because of his work with former President Barack Obama Hussain. It will be interesting to see how human psychology adjusts. Even if Biden has white skin, people of color will embrace him, because he has stood by Obama’s side. But this thought does not mean that I agreed with all of Obama – era policies. Especially that of Syria – with the highest death rate in Syria during former President Obama’s presidency, and the hush, hush, deaths of child migrants, brutal treatment of migrants, asylum seekers and immigrants at the U.S.A / Mexico southern borders. But then I wonder: Biden has much experiences and has stood by Obama’s side throughout his presidential terms, this is of course good experience. But we have to also think of any candidate who is selected: what makes them different? Why would he / she be a good fit for the eventual democratic nominee?

It is with these thoughts once again taking a side step from a direct political opinion, would like to offer thoughts with regards to Hillary Clinton and the Clinton White House. During her years of leadership in the White House, there were of course topical issues surrounding her marriage with Bill Clinton, but what Hillary demonstrated is that a woman can be in a leadership power position successfully. She possessed good negotiating skills, especially with Arab counterparts. This might be true for Biden too. But what has changed from the Clinton and Obama era’s? Where was the American focus then, in terms of national and foreign relations? And where is the focus now?

What President Trump is doing at present is placing a focus upon America, which is necessary, because a nation must inevitably be able to care about the health well-being and economic prosperity of itself. Whilst there was and still is back lash to the slogan / policy AMERICA FIRST, I don’t think the term itself has and should take away from building foreign relations and working with allies. But we can wonder how this term has caused ripples such as: Build a wall and Zero Tolerance. We have recently seen ties strengthens with American investments in Syria, and a recent peace deal between America and Afghanistan. But there is more work to be done, especially with the American-Afghan peace deal, the development of good immigration pathway / policy for migrants, and the vulnerable, who desire to make America their home. This thought is also tied to nations closer to home, such as Venezuela, Columbia, Latin America, past and present politics.

Global events and the politics of the world will also have an impact upon the focus of American politics. The past focus will of course always be of interest, but any presidency, nomination or a person tied to previous administrations will place the political shifts at the forefront – and design a presidency on the strengthening achievements, present concerns and future political forecast visions for America. National and International.
a political, public position is one that arises from within – love for nation, #shaziblog #quote #shaziblog #DemPrimaryTweet
It is without a doubt a political, public position is one that arises from within – love for nation, but can be full of tensions and public scrutiny. As someone who has a deep admiration and love for those who desire to serve, it is important to acknowledge your desire, commitment and love for service. A candidacy, nominee and President is history in the making. For country and the world. It is again without a doubt then, there must be thought and critical discussion as to who will become the eventual democratic nominee. Who is best to lead the public, the nation, at the national and international levels. Thank you for your service!

Update: Since writing these thoughts I later learned that #ObamasVP was trending on Twitter, and Elizabeth Warren has just announced that she will drop out of the Democratic nominee race, after reviewing the results from Super Tuesday primaries. Biden continues to receive endorsements. We continue to wish all the best for the remaining few candidates.
