Spinal Waves seeks to reveal the human touching of spines, delicately curving and caressing. The layers created with the brush strokes envision layers of skin, delicate soft fabrics, creating waves as spines and skins are touching, through this abstract piece of art. The use of metallics gold and silver paint, and the small size of this piece are inspired by Frida Kahlo’s Mexican Votive style. Her small sized panels were usually created as a form of devotion. Spinal Waves is related to the poetry entitled: Spinal Curves!
