I would like to join the Houston Texans and all who mourn the passing of Jamey Roots. Mr. Roots was an American Sports Executive that served as the first team President of the Houston Texans National Football League (NFL) team. He was a well-known and well-loved Houstonian. Jamey Roots passed away on August 21st, 2022, with the announcement from his wife on August 22nd, 2022.
The passing of Mr. Roots reminded me of my first visit to Houston, Texas, USA. On the morning of my first-day in the city, I walked to the Houston Texans stadium, and was able to see the stadium and also where the team practices, and I also loved to cheer with the cheerleaders too. We are saddened with your loss especially as it was announced on August 19th 2022 that you will serve Rice University Students to lead the Hutchinson Leadership Initiative in Sport Analytics. There was so much more life to live, and many more gifts to give.
I know that Houston will miss you alot as it is especially heart-breaking to learn of your cause of death, especially as we think about the neuroplasticity of the brain, that gives much more hope for recovering from mental illness.
Thank you for your service, commitments and dedications to the Houston Texans, and for all the accomplishments during your lifetime.
God Bless You and God Bless America. Further Reading:
