Please join me as I welcome the color version of our sketch entitled as: The Great Seal of Florida II! The numerics are an addition to the original title as a way to organize the pencil and color versions of the sketch. I truly enjoyed creating this colorful design, although I know there could be more improvements with the accuracy of the seal design, I think that I am impressed with the outcome of this first attempt. The colors are created with water-colors, pencil crayons, and enhanced with metallic paint.
This style is a reoccuring theme within my sketch collections, that are inspired from the artist Frida Kahlo’s Ex-Voto painting style, that is translated from Spanish as Votive-Offering. In-particular the creations are small in size as our sketches, and intersect with religious or Catholic culture, such as the symbolism of the Christian Cross included within the design.
I appreciate the symbol of the Orange Citrus Blossom flower as Florida states national flower, the colors of the Seal of Florida flag, connected to The United States of America! That embodies, One Nation Under God. Thank you, welcome and enjoy!
I began the sketch on June 1st and was completed on June 23rd 2022. The sketch probably took more that 20 hours to complete within this time-frame.
