I would like to take the time to join the people of Argentina and all who are victims of the Amia Bombing that took place on July 18th 1994. The bombing took place outside of a Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On this day I echo the words of the President of the Republic of Argentina Alberto Fernández, that this was not just an attack on the Jewish people, but an attack on Argentina. And I also appreciate the view that destruction can be redeemed by the power of human solidarity (AJC Global Voice, 2022). My thoughts of love, prayer and condolences to the victims, and everyone who suffers from the traumatic memories from this attack.
