I would like to take the opportunity to say congratulate Tilman J. Fertitta. Originally from Galveston, Texas, now Houston’s very own accomplished businessman and world recognized leader within the dining, hospitality, gaming and entertainment industry upon his recent initiative to take part of Landry’s Inc., public via Fast Acquisition Corp – NYSE: FST. This merger values the company at an enormous 6.6. Billion. Investors include: Fidelity Investments, Blackrock Inc, and Neuberger. This news is certainly a glimmer of happiness especially in the wake of the Coronavirus which has hurt many small businesses and large corporations of all kinds. We hope that this new venture / news will lead the way to carve public morale, as a way to get back on track as recovery efforts from the pandemic. I know from Fertitta’s love for his city, state and country that this deal will serve as beneficial to Houston. Fertitta is known for his desire to give back to Houston from his accomplishments, which also reveals much about one’s character. To make a deal, take risks and support the many who pave the way for success. Some of the charitable efforts include: Chairman of Houston Children’s Charity and Board of the Regents Chairman for the University of Houston. Congratulations we are thrilled to hear more good news. I absolutely loved to see the many pictures in the slide show of the news article as featured in US News & World Report. The images reminded me of my trip to Houston and especially to feel the warmth within the air and the palm trees. Congratulations Houston is proud of you and your accomplishments!!!
