My thoughts of love, prayer and condolences to family, friends, relatives, the University of North Carolina (UNC) Student, faculty and community. For the tragic incident that occured on the 28th of August 2023. On Monday afternoon at approximately 1.00pm a shooter shot and killed a faculty member at the UNC at Chapel Hill. At the moment the motive of the suspect, and incident details have not been released.
Thank you to the UNC community who have spoken upon the incident including: UNC Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz and Governor Roy Cooper. Thank you for reiterating the devastating effects that truly take a toll upon students, teachers and staff. And to assure community safety. Thank you Orange County Sheriff Blackwood and Police Services. This incident has also contributed to the discussion / debate of gun possession and violence.
My heartfelt sympathies to all who mourn and grieve the faculty member, whose life and life work of a teaching legacy are truly affected.
May you rest with eternal life in the eternal kingdom of Heaven, amen.
