The truth is that I formally became interested in the idea of the mind as a machine metaphor when I was introduced to Cartesian philosophy many years earlier. Whilst this interest expanded through views of cognition and cognitive psychology, in essence the workings of the minds. The view sprung back to mind as I was watching the film adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s, Jane Eyre. As Eyre bravely spills here emotion within the contexts of the time era, as one would view as quite magnificent! In my view she is absolutely spot on! Today whilst the beauty of technological communications allow for instant connection and communications, can we ever neglect the human form and the reciprocity found through mutual exchanges?
