As we approach the anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks I would like to take some time to appreciate a recent tweet that I saw via twitter, that requested the Twitter Cyber Space community to share remembrances specifically with the hash-tag “Honor 911.” As subtle as it seems, I profoundly embraced this as a proud moment.
Could this be the beginning of a turning point? To embrace hurt, pain, anguish, horror and the continuous question of why? To that of the beginning of acceptance? A national acceptance of all who were sacrificed on this day? As families mourn, grieve, and remember their loved ones. Can we turn the anger of Never Forget to that of honor, memorial, hope, and sacrificial love, life? And wish that no society on any corner of the globe will ever again resort to a terrorism as a wager for war.
