My thoughts of love, prayer and condolences to family, friends, relatives, New York Police Department (NYPD) and all who mourn the loss of Police Officer Jason Rivera. At the very young age of 22, Rivera was tragically killed during a domestic dispute in the city of Harlem, Manhattan, New York. Police officer Jason Rivera joined the NYPD to especially make a difference within New York’s immigrant community. At this time I would like to send my heartfelt sympathies to his family and loved ones. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Fidelis Ad Mortem, faithful unto death.
At this time I would also like to wish all the best for recovery to Police Officer Jason Rivera’s comrade, Police Officer Wilbert Mora who was also shot on the scene and is in hospital. Wishing you lots of get well wishes, and I pray that all the medical staff / team are taking care of you for recovery. Thank you for your service.
As I heard of this loss, I missed hearing the sights and sounds of New York, walking in your midst, and especially feeling safe in the city. Thank you.

Update | From the time of writing this blog post I learned that Police Officer Wilbert Mora did not recover to survive from the gun shot wounds, and passed away on January 25th, 2022.
